Tim Smith

Northwest Regional Coordinator

Tim Smith has been serving as a Firefighter for Panama City Beach Fire Rescue since
2006 and currently holds the rank of Battalion Chief for B shift. Tim has been an
active member of the departments’ safety committee since 2012 and the secretary
of the pension board.

In recent years Tim has been involved in Region 1 SERP programs and recognizes
the need for the addition of the Florida Firefighters Safety and Health Collaborative
into the active SERP, specifically following disasters like Hurricane Michael which
heavily affected Region 1.

Tim now serves as the Region 1 Coordinator for the Florida Firefighters Safety and
Health Collaborative (FFSHC), which focuses in the areas of: firefighter cancer
prevention, health and fitness, mental wellness, and firefighter safety.

This website serves as a vehicle to share this information.
