About The Caregiver Connection
Online Support Group Goal:
Monthly caregiver support meeting that allows spouses, families and caregivers of fire responders to connect, engage and support each other. The groups are hosted by Webex allowing participants to join in through video or phone. These groups are an informal and flexible way to provide peer support.
Live web chats can include training, guided discussions and open discussion forums. Presentation information will be determined by surveying participants and identifying information proven to be valuable to spouses, families and caregivers of first responders. Guest speakers and subject matter experts are also welcome to present to the audience.
Quarterly training on peer support via Webex.
Meetings will be an hour in length utilizing the Florida Firefighters Health and Safety Collaborative Webex subscription. Invites and reminders will be sent out using Eventbrite.com. Moderators will utilize identified caregiver support models to facilitate the meetings. Meeting will be held monthly.
