The FFHSC incorporates several topics; all aimed at improving Firefighter safety and health with a focus on: Firefighter cancer prevention, emotional and mental wellness, health & physical fitness, caregiver support and, safety on all emergency incidents.

Cancer Prevention
Our mission is to prevent firefighter cancer by increasing and sharing best practices designed to minimize risk of carcinogen exposure to our Florida Firefighters.
Mental Wellness
The Florida Firefighters Safety and Health Collaborative (FFSHC) is committed to providing improved methods of hope and healing through education and training for our brothers and sisters so we do not continue a predictable and painful pattern of emotional, spiritual, and, ultimately, our physical detriment.
Caregiver Support
The Florida Firefighters Health and Safety Collaborative Caregiver Support Network offers caregiver-based support and services to connect those providing care to service members living with the wounds, illnesses and/or injuries associated with the job.
Safety
The Florida Firefighter Safety and Health Collaborative (FFSHC) strives to improve overall firefighter safety through safer workplace practices, emergency response procedures, and emergency incident scene safety.
Fitness
The Florida Firefighter Safety and Health Collaborative (FFSHC) Health and Fitness Team is an integral component designed to assist each individual firefighter as well as departmental needs towards taking an active role and providing a platform for a healthy first responder.
