On April 5thover 80 fire service and private industry leaders joined together at the first regional meeting of the Northwest FFSHC. Thanks to Chief Talbert and Cpt Brian Hughes for organizaing the launch, complete with presentations from Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center, FFSHC Directors, and the Firefighter Cancer Support Network.

Members from the State FACE Team, Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center and the Redline Sisterhood all joined together to march in the 50th Annual St Patrick’s Day Parade to pay honor to those firefighters who have passed from cancer and those still in the fight.  This was a great opportunity to join together – One Team, One Fight while raising awareness for firefighter cancer to a crowd of over 80,000.

Palm Beach County Fire Rescue, Coral Springs Fire, Osceola Fire Rescue, Broward Fire Rescue, Davie Fire Rescue, Miami Dade Fire and our Statewide FACE Team were honored to be part of the 2018 Dolphin's Cancer Challenge held throughout the City of Miami last month, with a finish for all races at the 50 yard line of the Hard Rock Stadium, and a celebration on the field for hours after.
