Our Florida Firefighters Safety and Health Collaborative - PBCRR, Coral Springs / Parkland, Delray Beach Fire, Osceola County, Davie Fire Rescue, Orange County (CA) Fire Rescue presented a $2500 check to Sylvester to fund in part the DCC FF Firefighter Cancer Initiative Team.

This was a special event to remember and celebrate the lives of firefighters stricken by cancer. Firefighters and researchers walked shoulder to shoulder with the community, reminding them that our clinical knowledge, scientific aptitude, and unrelenting compassion for firefighter cancer control and prevention is what motivates us each day.

Thanks to the Florida Fire Chief’s Association for presenting the FFSHC with the Legacy Award at the FFCA Safety & Health Conference. We have enjoyed our working relationship and the constant support and leadership provided by the FFCA. Together, we strive to improve the safety and health in all Florida firefighters and departments.
